2010 Junior Auxiliary Pageants

Lori Young-Cope's Baby Shower.....

My 1st cousin, Lori Young-Cope is expecting a baby boy, to be named "JAX", very soon!!!
Lori also works at V's Hair Salon, so Venita, Tanara, Tori, Dana, and I hosted a shower for her last Sunday at Venita's home. V's house is absolutely BEAUTIFUL, & was the perfect setting for the shower/tea. We held it outside under the carport & screened in patio. Lori is not really having a certain themed baby room, but she does want everything to be different. She loves the retro black, with primary polka dots, guitars, skulls, (yes skulls!!!), & peace signs..... sorta like a "baby Rocker" theme:)
I made "MINI" vanilla cupcakes with vanilla butter cream frosting, topped with a "MINI" sugar cookie in various colored glaze, then accented with his initial "J". I asked my dear friend, Misty Bolding & her MIL, Patsy Bolding to make the AWESOME cake. It was DELISH!!! Thanks ladies, I love you:)
Lori and baby Jax got loads of gifts, books, and all kinds of cute stuff. I especially love the painting that I got her. Notice baby JAX name in the guitar on the top......pretty cool uh??? I think so:) Also, her friend Heather got her these cute metal letters at Kathy's and I painted them for her to match the room. Overall I think it was an adorable shower, and I had a great time with the girls:)

Teresa Knowles

Ms. Teresa Knowles called me several weeks ago, & ask me to help make some "cute goodies" for a bridal shower that she was hosting at her home. The bride-to-be has chosen an "Alice in Wonderland" theme, with all the showers & receptions to be as whimsical as they can be!!!
I made "MINI" vanilla cupcakes with vanilla butter cream icing, then topped with various glazed colored "MINI" sugar cookies, and added the words "EAT ME" to the tops:)
Thanks so very much Ms.Teresa. I know the shower was gorgeous:)

Shewwwwwwww What a week!!!

........I might need some form of medication by the end of this week!!! hahaha just kidding............no I'm not.....I'm being serious:)
I honestly don't know how I'm still going, because I feel like I'm running on empty:)
Yesterday, I had to be at my grandparents house by 5:00am, to stay with my Pap, because my GrannyMa had surgery. I cleaned and cleaned and cleaned, until my fingers were literally bleeding:) Got home, picked up my own house, ran into town to grab a few Subways, then "back to the ranch" to start on some baking.
Thank God for granting peace, strength, but most of all the invention of coffee:)haha Without this, I probably wouldn't have been able to keep up with everything that I need to be doing right now. The next two weeks is TOTAL INSANITY:)......and Relay for Life!!!
Some days I don't even know if I've pee-peed or pooped:)
This week is huge with WCHS Graduation on Friday & Junior Miss pageants on Saturday.
Ms. Paula asked me just last night, hoping I would have time, to make her something "sweet" to take to a post-graduation party at The McGiboney's. Of course, I said "Yes", but shewwwwwwwww, I'm almost over-exhausted:) But, would do anything for a great friend:)
What I really need, is a good ol' trip to the beach for some relaxation:)

"JOY THE GIRAFFE" at the Jungle Jym.....

Yesterday was my little Miss Channing's birthday party at the Jungle Jym. Cha Cha LOVES giraffes, so she wanted her Auntie to make her some giraffe cookies for her party.
I think they turned out quite adorable if I do say so myself.....so cute I had to name them....so I named them "Joy" because they were such a Joy to make:)
We had a great time with family and friends.....I think Ms. Paula had too much fun on the swings:) hahaha just kidding,.... I love her so!!! She cracks me up, and her and Ms. Beth are so wonderful and I'm so blessed they take such great care of my Cha Cha:)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY "CHACHA"

HAPPY(belated) BIRTHDAY TO MY LITTLE "CHA CHA" :)
She LOVES Auntie's cupcakes, and her Auntie loves her so much:)
Can't wait till Friday.........you are going to love your birthday cupcakes and cookies..........they are your favorite............GIRAFFES:)

Diane Sullens

Diane asked me to make these vanilla & chocolate cupcakes to have at her house for Mother's Day.
She said EVERYONE loves my chocolate frosting, especially the "kiddos":)
Thanks Diane for always asking me to make "goodies" for you and your beautiful family:)
I LOVE YOU ALL:)

Brad McGregor

One of the " coolest" guys in town, Mr. Brad McGregor, asked me to help make his pal, Mark Morton, some OVER THE HILL cupcakes & cookies for his 40th birthday party. I told Brad I hated using black icing, because it tends to "bleed" into the cupcakes, which in turn, makes them look bad. So I thought of "CHROME" icing, since after 40, you start getting a little "chrome" color to your hair line:) And since Mark has always had a fond love of motorcycles, I made these little picks from some clip art, and hot glued them to toothpicks. I used sparkling silver sugar, and accented with red sanding sugar, and I think they turned out quite adorable:)
Thanks Brad:) I hope you all enjoyed these at the big party:)

Doris Stephens

Sweet Ms. Doris Stephens asked me several weeks ago to make these special treats for her classroom mothers at Eastside Elementary School.
Doris has a special Mother's Day Tea every year for her classroom mothers.
"MOM" Sugar Cookies & "MINI" Banana Cupcakes with Honey Cinnamon Frosting.....what a treat:)
Thanks Doris, I love you:)
