A wonderful friend, Ms. Libby Bewick, asked me several months ago to make their family's favorite, MOLASSES, cookies as favors for Miss Lindsey's wedding. I was so thrilled to be asked to be a part of such a beautiful day:)
It took me 2 days to bake 200 Molasses cookies, but it was worth seeing the smile on Libby's face:)
Lindsey and Jon had an "All-Star" wedding in Nashville. Music City was the theme, and the Scarritt Bennett was the scene!!! A cowboy hat filled with all kinds of TENNESSEE products ( RC Cola in a glass bottle, MoonPie, Cracker Barrel treats, & my Molasses cookies), was placed in the guests rooms upon checking in.....ALL 75 hotel rooms provided by the brides parents, Dr. Kent & Libby Bewick:)
I placed the cookies in cello bags. Then I used a "ROPE" font to make the little cards that I attached with raffia & twine:) I think they were adorable:) Very Country & Cute:)
Thanks again Libby:) I know the wedding was as beautiful as you and your family:) I love you all:)
