Michael Shoulders
My Aunt Elaine & her teaching buddy, Ms. Carol, asked me several weeks ago to make these "Alphabet Cookies" for their special guest, Mr. Michael Shoulders, who came to Irving College School last Tuesday for a special presentation.
Mr. Shoulders is an author, who writes children's books, and travels around the country, promoting his love of books and the importance of reading to children, teachers, and parents.
I was very honored to have been asked to make him these "Alphabet Sugar Cookies", but most impressed that he actually gave me rave reviews!!! Someone even said, he might have an idea for a new book!!! HOW COOL WOULD THAT BE???
Mason McGiboney
Ms. Beth Deason & Ms. Paula Morris at Pre-Pioneer Learning Center asked me to make a very special someone, some yummy treats for a special day.
Mason McGiboney, who is Pre-Pioneers IT Tech, celebrated his birthday last Friday with these homemade Vanilla & Chocolate Cupcakes:) I hope Mason & the entire Pre-Pioneer "family" enjoyed these!!!

WSMV "Surviving the Storm"
Last night, Northside Baptist Church hosted Channel 4 WSMV's presentation of "Surviving the Storm". It was an AWESOME show!!!
Nancy Van Camp, Dan Thomas, and Lisa Spencer did a wonderful presentation filled with lots of important information about how to stay safe during storm situations.
My favorite part of the night, was, of course, getting to meet SNOWBIRD!!!
Just kidding, it was getting to sit in the front row, directly in front of DAN THOMAS:) That's right, FRONT ROW BABY!!!
I honestly think I am the biggest fan of Ch. 4---I have watched only Ch.4 since I was little:) I even made Terry get a "shift-swap" at work yesterday, so he could be off and get in line early!!! And it was all worth it, because he actually was the first in line---WAY TO GO "T"!!! The first 100 people received a SNOWBIRD HUGGIE!!! TOO COOL:) Also, we got to have our pictures made with each meteorologist, and get autographs!!! Yippy! Salem was even pulled out of the front row, to help Lisa Spencer with a weather experiment. I truly recommend this show to anyone, especially families, it was very informational, and you never know when that information could save your life.

SWEET TREATS FOR SWEET GIRLS.....
I made these special treats for two special young ladies, Arden Claire and Lexi Beth!!! I wanted them both to know how special they are to me, and I would be there to "root" them on!!! I made several different crowns/tiara sugar cookies, some even on a stick.
Even though, neither won, they are still winners in my book, and both are BEAUTIFUL inside and out!!!

Please keep Corey Morris and his family in your prayers!!!
Corey was rushed to the hospital today with a very serious illness. After speaking with Paula this afternoon, and again tonight, he is stable for now. Test, after test have been done, but the doctors are still unaware of what is causing him to be so sick.
I love this young man more than you could ever imagine, and am praying for him to get well soon. Please say a little prayer for him, and his family for a speedy recovery!
17 years and still dating.....

"ONE CRAZZZZZZZZZY HUSBAND".......
Check this out!!!
Terry captured this "pic" tonight behind our house, as the storms were rolling through.
I was yelling at him to get in the flippin' house, luckily, it didn't strike any closer. As you can see, it "lit" up Mary's Greenhouse pretty good! Hopefully no-one was hurt or injured.
I emailed this pic to Lisa Spencer at WSMV Channel 4, and she emailed me back in only 3 minutes. She said it was an AWESOME pic, and wanted to know about the storm damage in our area. TOO COOL!!!
Maybe it will be on the news at 10p.m.
**Guess what, IT WAS ON THE NEWS AT 10P.M.!!!** "Great pic Terry!!!" :)

Babyshower Brunch...
Where to begin??? Let's just say, Friday was CRAZYYYYYYY BUSY!!! Thursday afternoon, I didn't get home from work until
7:30 p.m., and I was already "pooped'. Then, after a quick nap, I got up & started back to work! First, I went outside and spray painted a metal letter I picked up earlier in the day at Kathy's for "the gift". Then, in between making batches of cupcakes and cookies, I added the finishing touches to the letter. By this time, it was getting close to midnight. Then, I finished up making the frosting for the cupcakes and headed to bed around 1:30a.m.. I got up around 4:30a.m. and finished up the cupcakes. I packed lunchboxes and backpacks, and got the boys up to get ready for school. Thank goodness, Terry was off, so he could take them both to school!!! I got ready, stopped off at Walmart, picked up some last minute "deco" items, and hurried to work. I got the conference room all "prettiful" with the help of Mandy, and we all had a quick, but cute babyshower brunch for a fellow co-worker, Misty Bolding. Misty is expecting, Little Miss Avery, in a couple of weeks, and I know this child will be loved by lots, especially the girls at work. Meanwhile, if you don't know Misty, she makes wonderful cakes with her mother-in-law, Patsy. They are absolutely WONDERFUL, & GORGEOUS TOO!!!
After cleaning up, I took the afternoon off, to meet Salem & Terry at the Homecoming Parade. It was great, as you can tell by the pics above. The ballgame was great too, except for the part of WC losing to Coffee Co. 20-13---Oh well, it still was a great fun-filled day:)
